Welcome to the UT Arlington EH&S website. I hope you find the information here to be interesting and helpful. If I can assist you with additional guidance or information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome your feedback, comments, and suggestions. It is the policy of UT Arlington to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors a safe and healthy environment for education, work, and living. However, safety and environmental protection are everyone's responsibilities. Each person conducting research, learning, working, and residing at UT Arlington can contribute to safety and environmental quality by the proper engineering of facilities, following laws and appropriate procedures, receiving education and training, using equipment properly and safely, and observing safety rules. The EH&S Office helps accomplish these goals by: Developing and implementing safety and environmental protection policies, programs, and procedures; Providing training and guidance in areas of chemical/biological/radiological safety, fire safety, general safety, and defensive driving; Managing hazardous waste disposal, waste recycling, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs), and worker's compensation insurance. The information on this web site is intended to assist you with safety and environmental laws, programs, and procedures. Please navigate this site and download information that addresses your issues of concern. If the information we've provided does not help, please contact us for assistance. We are committed to program improvement as we serve the UT Arlington community, and your suggestions will always be welcome. Thank you for visiting and be safe out there, Ed
