As a result of Dr. Linda Johnsrud’s decision to leave UTA, and after consultation with the Deans, I am pleased to share with you that Ron Elsenbaumer has agreed to serve as interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs in addition to continuing in his current role as Senior Advisor to the President for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development.

Ron’s extensive experience and knowledge will enable continuity of our academic enterprise and ensure that we continue the tremendous momentum at this great institution while we are also conducting a search for our next permanent Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs: Provost search. Over a 24 year career at the University, Ron has served as Department Chair, Vice President for Research and Federal Relations as well as Provost, and I am deeply grateful that he has agreed to serve in this capacity.
