Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

The COVID‑19 Health Portal is now available in MyMav for all employees and students to upload the results of your required COVID‑19 test results before Sept. 8. You also can use the portal to participate in the Maverick Motivator Program, by uploading proof of vaccination by Oct. 4 to be eligible for prizes.

Where to find the portal

After logging in to MyMav, students can find the portal as a task on their Student To Do List or as a News article on the home page. Employees will see the portal on their MyMav home page. If you have trouble finding or using the portal, contact the OIT Help Desk.

All students and employees, regardless of vaccination status, must provide results from a COVID‑19 test if they’re coming to campus in any capacity. Please note:

  • Results from on-campus testing sites will automatically be reported; you don’t need to take any action to report if you are tested on campus.
  • If you get tested off campus, you’ll need to manually upload results into the COVID‑19 Health Portal in MyMav.
  • Regardless of where you get tested, results from tests conducted before Friday, Aug. 13 will not be accepted.

COVID-19 testing

UTA is requiring COVID‑19 testing to reduce the spread of the virus in our community as more of you return to campus for the start of the fall 2021 semester. This policy, accompanied by our temporary reduction of classroom density and encouraged best practices, are intended to keep us moving toward our goal of resuming on-campus classes and activities while continuing to prioritize the health and safety of our community.

We’ve developed FAQs for our COVID‑19 testing policy to provide additional information. If you still have questions about the testing requirement, contact covidtesting@uta.edu.

Maverick Motivator Program
We believe vaccines are our best defense against COVID‑19, and all Mavericks are encouraged to get the vaccine if you’re able. To support this effort, we’ve established the Maverick Motivator Program to provide rewards and prizes to express our gratitude for members of our community that Mav Up and Sleeve Up to do their part to end COVID‑19.

As part of the program, students vaccinated at our on-campus clinics will receive a $50 gift card to the UTA Bookstore per vaccine received, for a total of $100 if you receive both doses. No action or pre-registration required.

All employees and students electing to upload proof of full vaccination to the COVID‑19 Health Portal before Oct. 4 will be eligible to receive large prizes, including free tuition and fees, parking, meal plans and MacBook Pros. You can participate whether you received your vaccine on campus or off. Learn more about the program and prizes through the Maverick Motivator Program webpage.
