GM Engineer

This week's news that General Motors will invest $1.4 billion in its plant near UT Arlington to expand production of full-size SUVs reminded us of one standout alumna who was featured in the City of Arlington's Dream City campaign. Norma Gonzalez ('12, Industrial Engineering) began working for GM as an Arlington Lamar High School student, earned her engineering degree from UT Arlington and now works as a paint and body material routes industrial engineer for the automotive giant. "We got the best education," Gonzalez says of her time at UT Arlington.
