The first-ever UTA Day at the Rodeo was a smash hit with more than 250 alumni and friends packing a pre‑rodeo luncheon before saddling up to watch a performance at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. President Vistasp Karbhari highlighted UTA’s 2015 achievements in his welcome remarks and his strategic vision for the University in 2016. Alumnus Serves Hope

As a result of a mentoring relationship with a UTA professor, David Espinosa found himself teaching English in South America shortly after graduating from UTA. Now, he is the youngest trustee ever elected to the Grand Prairie Independent School District Board of Trustees and a recipient of a Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Community Award for his work as director of Harvest Project, a nonprofit fighting hunger by redistributing surplus produce and vegetables to families in need.

Trial and error is often the best way to discover new things. However, for Professor Robert Magnusson there hasn’t been much error lately. The Texas Instruments Distinguished University Chair in Nanoelectronics at UTA, Dr. Magnusson has been issued five patents in the last 12 months, a rare feat even by his own admission. See Magnusson explain his accomplishment in this short video.
