Down the Stretch

Coach Scott Cross has his team ready to finish strong following a recent three game winning streak. Catch the team in action this weekend at College Park Center against the Warhawks of University of Louisiana Monroe. Tip off is scheduled for 7:15 PM. You can purchase tickets for this game and the remaining home games at utatickets.com. Don't forget to make plans to attend the Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament March 10-13 in New Orlean. We will be hosting a pep-rally event two hours prior to the first UTA scheduled game.

UT Arlington Magazine Online

The Winter 2016 issue of UTArlington Magazine is now available online. You can find all of the great stories that make it into the magazine plus archived features from past issues. Pre-Law Day

UTA Pre-Law Program will host its annual Pre-Law Day on February 27 at 8:30 am. Sponsored by AT&T and presented by the College of Liberal Arts, the event will include panel discussions with admissions deans and area attorneys and a keynote address - “Demystifying the LSAT” - given by a representative from the Law School Admissions Council, the organization responsible for writing the LSAT. Alumni Spotlight

Two-time alumna and former student-athlete, Yoko Matsumoto was recently named as the new Director of Arlington Libraries and Community Services. Matsumoto earned her undergraduate degree in History and her masters of education in educational leadership and policy studies from UTA before becoming involved in the City of Arlington. CONHI Healthcare Professionals Night

Join students, faculty, staff and alumni of UTA's College of Nursing and Health Innovation for Healthcare Professionals Night prior to the men's basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 20. The event begins at 4 p.m. and will promote healthy lifestyles and awareness of cardiovascular ailments such as obesity, hypertension, and diabetes. Using the promotion code 'CONHI', event participants can also purchase game tickets for $5 in advance here.

Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair

The 65th annual Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair will take place this year at UTA’s College Park Center and will see more than 650 students, grades 6-12, from ten different counties compete for prizes and scholarships. Judging begins at 9:00 am followed by a public viewing from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. The award presentation begins at 7:00 pm. More information about the program schedule can be found here.

Maverick Speakers Series: Donna Brazile

“Politics Beyond,” a special lecture presented by political strategist and commentator Donna Brazile will take place as part of the Maverick Speakers Series in February. Preferred ticket packages and free general admission tickets are available at utatickets.com.

UTA Powwow

The 21st Annual UTA Powwow featuring traditional dancing, food and exhibits will be held 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in the E.H. Hereford University Center Bluebonnet Ballroom and is free and open to the public. For more information visit the Native American Student Association website.
