Record Number of Degrees

UTA has awarded a record 11,526 degrees for the 2015-16 academic year, an increase of 8.8 percent from the previous year continuing the trajectory of increasing conferrals for the third consecutive year. New graduates join the more than 200,000 UTA alumni living and working around the world and serve to fuel the continued economic and civic growth of North Texas. READ MORE

More than 20 valedictorians, salutatorians, and National Merit Scholars chose UTA and helped make the Class of 2020 the largest freshman class in school history. UTA is the top public research university in North Texas, earning a Carnegie Classification R-1 designation, and has become the choice for Texas's best and brightest. UTA Volleyball

UT Arlington ended nonconference play this past weekend and began looking forward to its first conference match against South Alabama. Coach Diane Seymour earned her 200th career victory on Saturday at College Park Center and is just the second coach in UTA Volleyball history to reach this mark. CHEER THEM ON

16 | Sunday Join us for UTA Day at FC Dallas. The day begins with a 2:00 pm social gathering at Mattito's and a pre-game experience at Toyota Stadium in Frisco before the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Champion FC Dallas takes on the Seattle Sounders FC at 4:00 pm.

27 | Friday UTA and Arlington leaders will officially break ground on the new 220,000-square-foot Science and Engineering Innovation and Research building dedicated to innovative research, collaborative solutions, and workforce development on October 27.

12 | Saturday Get ready to show off your Maverick pride as alumni and students, faculty and staff come together to celebrate UTA Homecoming. The festivities will begin earlier in the week and will be capped off by a men's basketball game on Saturday and a woman's basketball game on Sunday. Check back with Alumni Relations for dates and times, as well as to register, for all Homecoming events.
