Nur Yazdani, a civil engineering professor, recently was called to inspect and evaluate new and existing concrete bridge components using ground-penetrating radar, thermal imaging, and ultrasound tomography to test 30 bridges in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. READ MORE

UTAPD Honored
UTAPD Honored

As part of UTA's community that cares, the UTA Police Department was one of five university police departments in the U.S. recognized for its highly successful National Night Out efforts in 2017. This marks the fifth consecutive year UTAPD has earned this honor. READ MORE

International recognition
Interational Recognition

Krishnan Rajeshwar, UTA distinguished professor of chemistry and biochemistry, received a Doctor Honoris Causa degree from the University of Szeged in Hungary, in recognition for his numerous collaborations with the University that have led to 29 joint publications and research on new high-performance materials for solar fuel generation. UTA Basketball | Come out and Mav Up as both the men's and women's basketball teams work toward another victory at College Park Center. The women tip-off at 5 PM and the men start at 7:15 PM. Children under the age of 18 get in free! GET YOUR TICKETS

UTA Day at the Rodeo | Tickets are available for the annual UTA Day at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Saddle up with all your favorite UTA folk and get a hearty BBQ lunch with all the fixin's at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. GET YOUR TICKETS

MSS: Michael Pollan | Best-selling author and sustainable food critic Michael Pollan makes his way to Texas Hall to take us on One Writer's Trip: From the Garden to the Plate and the Beyond in the fourth installment of the 2017-2018 Maverick Speakers Series. Get your GENERAL or VIP TICKETS

UTA Alumni Jazz Brunch | Save the date and hit all the right notes at the UTA Jazz Brunch during the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival. Performances by UTA jazz ensembles will accompany the catered brunch event. Tickets will be available soon.
