broadcast students take top Awards
An animated film created by UTA senior broadcast major Casey Moore won a statewide competition sponsored by Texas Central, the company proposing a high-speed passenger rail system to connect Dallas and Houston. Four other films created by UTA students were finalists in the competition. READ MORE

Nagy Named nEW VP for student affairs
After a comprehensive national search, UTA is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Nagy as Vice President for Student Affairs. Nagy joined UTA in 1999 and has assumed progressively more responsible positions in student affairs. READ MORE

fighting Cancer at the Cellular level
Mark Pellegrino, assistant professor of biology, and a team of UTA researchers have identified proteins that help cell organs recover from stress. The discovery could pave the way for new treatments for cancer and neurological diseases. READ MORE

Master teacher and award winner
Karen Jo Matsler, master teacher in science for UTA’s UTeach Arlington program, received the 2017 Skoog Cup College Faculty Award in recognition of her significant contributions and leadership in the development of quality science education. READ MORE
