unprecedented growth
Student enrollment reached almost 43,000 Texas-based students in the spring 2018 semester, a record high and a 2.4 percent increase over last spring. With a global total enrollment of more than 60,000 expected this academic year, UTA continues to provide the intellectual capital and resources to meet the demands of our rapidly evolving economy. Uta leads new national project
Michele Bobadilla, assistant provost for Hispanic student success and senior associate vice president for outreach services and community engagement, was selected by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation to chair its new University Partnerships initiative. The program creates a college-to-career pipeline that will prepare students for the workforce and create a talent pool for corporations who partner with the Foundation. READ MORE

National Prominence
Maria Frias, a senior civil engineering major, was named one of ten "2018 New Faces of Civil Engineering, Collegiate Edition" by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Somayeh Moazzeni, a doctoral student in public policy and transportation, received the 2017 outstanding student of the year for the Center for Transportation, Equity, Decisions and Dollars (C-TEDD) by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

World-Class Athletes
