unprecedented growth
Commencement 2017

Student enrollment reached almost 43,000 Texas-based students in the spring 2018 semester, a record high and a 2.4 percent increase over last spring. With a global total enrollment of more than 60,000 expected this academic year, UTA continues to provide the intellectual capital and resources to meet the demands of our rapidly evolving economy. Uta leads new national project
Michele Bobadilla

Michele Bobadilla, assistant provost for Hispanic student success and senior associate vice president for outreach services and community engagement, was selected by the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation to chair its new University Partnerships initiative. The program creates a college-to-career pipeline that will prepare students for the workforce and create a talent pool for corporations who partner with the Foundation. READ MORE

National Prominence
Student Success Student Success

Maria Frias, a senior civil engineering major, was named one of ten "2018 New Faces of Civil Engineering, Collegiate Edition" by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Somayeh Moazzeni, a doctoral student in public policy and transportation, received the 2017 outstanding student of the year for the Center for Transportation, Equity, Decisions and Dollars (C-TEDD) by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

World-Class Athletes
Competing on the World Stage

Four current members of the  Lady Movin' Mavs and Movin' Mavs teams were named to Team USA rosters in their respective sports. Four alumni of the two teams will also represent the U.S. in upcoming international competitions.

Celebrating Legacies

Members of the Edward E. Rankin Society hosted current Legacy Leaders at the UTA basketball games against Coastal Carolina. The event celebrated those who have created a planned gift to benefit the University.

Opening Day | Alumni get two free tickets to the home opener of the 2018 UTA Baseball season with their alumni membership card. Come out to Clay Gould Ballpark and cheer on your Mavs as they start the journey toward a Sun Belt Conference championship. GET YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD

February 20 | Tuesday

MSS: Michael Pollan | Best-selling author and sustainable food critic Michael Pollan makes his way to Texas Hall to take us on One Writer's Trip: From the Garden to the Plate and the Beyond in the fourth installment of the 2017-2018 Maverick Speakers Series. Get your GENERAL or VIP TICKETS

March 18 | Sunday

Alumni & Friends at Clay Gould | Catch a game with family and friends during the Alumni and Friends picnic at Clay Gould Ballpark. The event starts at 5:30 PM. Tickets will be available soon and include admission to the picnic and baseball game. Check back with us to claim your spot.

April 21 | Saturday

Jazz Brunch | Hit all the right notes and join us at the annual UTA Jazz Brunch at the 2018 Fort Worth Main St. Arts Festival. Take in performances by UTA jazz ensembles from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the festival main stage while you enjoy a catered brunch with reserved seating. TICKETS
