UTA Alumni Relations

Graduation ceremonies are often a university's last chance to impart a bit of wisdom through outstanding commencement speakers. This year at UTA, the slate of speakers featured an august mix of government officials and business and community leaders. The lineup included: State Rep. John Zerwas, R-Richmond (CONHI); Robert C. Albritton Jr., president of the Mary I. Gourley Foundation (CAPPA and Social Work); the Honorable James Blacklock, associate justice of the Texas Supreme Court (COLA); State Rep. Rafael Anchia, D-Dallas (Education and Science); Bruce Tanner ('90), executive vice president and CFO of Lockheed Martin Corp. (Business); and Walter Chiang, PE, board member and founder of CP&Y Inc. (Engineering).

Students from UTA's International EMBA programs have made this an annual tradition to graduate with their class in Arlington.
