Industry Partnership
The Missing Link

George Siemens, executive director of UTA's Learning Innovation and Networked Knowledge (LINK) Research Lab, is leading a team of researchers who have partnered with Boeing to conceptualize working environments where humans and new technologies, such as robots and artificial intelligence, work side by side. The research is funded by a grant from Boeing and will identify new skill sets employees need to work in a technology-assisted environment. READ MORE

Rocket Science

In order to identify gaps in space exploration and defense, the Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded Bernd Chudoba, aerospace engineering professor, a grant to study how civilian and military space programs can help the United States remain a leader in aerospace. The grant also will help Chudoba identify and rank emerging technologies and allow strategic planners the opportunity to address weaknesses in areas like hypersonic speed, space launch/return, and in-space operation. Brain Testing
Pulitzer Prize Winning Alumni

George Kondraske, electrical and bioengineering professor, has led the development of computer tests and games that show and track individual human brain functioning. Kondraske is also the chief architect of RC21X, the company that will deliver the new brain performance technology. READ MORE

The National Science Foundation has awarded UTA close to $1.5 million in a Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program grant to promote the recruitment, preparation and induction of new science and mathematics teachers. READ MORE

On June 4-8, students ages 7 to 18 are invited to attend a STEM camp held at UTA's StartUp Lounge. The camp and its educational materials were developed by LaTasha Taylor Starr, a UTA industrial engineering doctoral student, and Ariel Bowman, a UTA mathematics doctoral student. READ MORE

Brain Testing

Laura Mydlarz, associate professor and associate chair of biology, is leading a team of researchers that has found a correlation between a strong immune response in diseased corals and a lower expression of genes associated with growth and reproduction. READ MORE

International Folk Art Market | More than 40 master folk artists will come together at The Green at College Park for the world's largest international folk art market. In its second year, the event will include international cuisine, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and more. MORE INFO

July 4 | Wednesday

4th of July Parade | Join UTA and the City of Arlington for one of the largest and oldest 4th of July parades in Texas. The family-friendly festivities begin at 9 AM as the Arlington Community Band and Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts lead the singing of the National Anthem. Parking is available at UTA. MORE INFO
