Gas-to-liquid Fuel conversion
On Monday President Vistasp Karbhari, UTA researchers, and representatives from Greenway Innovative Energy, Inc. dedicated the Conrad Greer Laboratory, made possible by a gift from Greenway. It is the new home of the Gas-to-Liquid Project, a more cost-efficient process converting gas to a high-grade diesel or jet fuel. READ MORE

Alumni honored by local press
Cynthia Frazier Odom, Willie Houston III, Ellen B. Wilson, Maria Mejia, and Marsha Smith Schattner all recently received recognition for their business success. Odom, Houston, Wilson, and Mejia were honored by the Fort Worth Business Press at the CFO of the Year awards banquet while the Dallas Business Journal announced Schattner as a 2017 Women in Business honoree.

Dr. Elisabeth Cawthon was announced as the new Dean of the College of Liberal Arts by UTA Interim Provost Ronald Elsenbaumer. Dr. Cawthon has served UTA in the Department of History since 1988 and has provided tremendous leadership to the Department, College, and University. READ MORE

Two golfers with UTA connections won their way into the PGA Championship, the final major of the 2017 season. Stuart Deane, current director of golf at UTA, and Greg Gregory, former UTA golfer, will be playing in the August tournament at Quail Hollow Club. READ MORE

Faculty Honor
Yi Hong, assistant professor in the Bioengineering Department, has been named a Fellow of the American Heart Association, one of the most prestigious professional organizations in the U.S. for outstanding contributions in science, medicine, volunteerism and leadership in heart health. READ MORE

Arlington 4th of July Parade | Since 1965, Arlington has been home to one of the largest 4th of July parades in Texas. The parade route winds through UTA's College Park District and will include UTA-sponsored floats. Gather your family and friends for the 9 am parade and celebrate America! PARADE INFO

Texas Autocross | Free and open to the public, the 17th annual Texas Autocross Weekend hosted by UTA's College of Engineering will put racers from colleges around the country in a timed competition at UTA's Lot 49. Races begin on Saturday at 9 am. MORE INFORMATION
