New Public Health Degree

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has approved the creation of a bachelor’s degree in public health at UTA’s College of Nursing and Health Innovation effective fall 2017. The comprehensive program will include the introduction of a graduate certificate in public health. READ MORE

Raehann Bryce-Davis (‘10), critically acclaimed mezzo soprano, won both the Grand Prize and Audience Prize at the Concorso Lirico di Portofino, a prestigious vocal competition in Portofino, Italy on July 16th. Bryce-Davis shared first place with Hungarian Mezzo Soprano Szilvia Vörös. READ MORE

Mav Move-In | University Housing needs your help volunteering for the 2017 Move-In. An annual tradition that takes place this year on August 21, Mav Move-In brings together the entire UTA family to support incoming campus residents. Residence Halls open at 9 am with volunteers available until 2 pm. VOLUNTEER

Pizza with the President: Alumni Edition | Join fellow Mavericks at Legal Draft in Arlington for Pizza with the President on August 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Visit with President Vistasp Karbhari while enjoying pizza, beverages, and an evening filled with Maverick pride. GET YOUR TICKETS

MSS: Lou Diamond Phillips | Tickets are now on sale for the 10th season of the Maverick Speakers Series, which kicks off at 7:30 pm in Texas Hall with actor, director, producer, and UTA alumnus Lou Diamond Phillips. Don't miss the Lou Diamond Phillips Film Festival leading up to his appearance on campus! GET YOUR TICKETS

September 13 | Wednesday

UTA Night at the Rangers | Gather with UTA alumni and friends for a pre-game picnic on the third base concourse from 5:30-7:00 pm before the Texas Rangers take on the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Park. Tickets to the picnic and game are available, and the first 1,000 UTA fans receive a UTA-themed Rangers hat. GET YOUR TICKETS
