Celebrating a University of Excellence
The 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards presented by Oncor will be a special night to recognize the many ways UTA alumni continue the University's tradition of excellence and extend UTA's reputation beyond our campus. UTA's Very Best
The annual Distinguished Alumni Awards recognizes outstanding UTA graduates and friends of the University for their achievements, impact on their professions, service to the broader community, and the tremendous example they have set for future generations of UTA Mavericks. This year we honor Governor Greg Abbott, Mike Dolabi, Dr. Kevin Le ('99, '01, '05), Maria Mejia ('02), Matthew Foster ('11, '13), and Follett Higher Education Group as a Distinguished Honorary Alumni.

The big games
Friday through Sunday, November 9-11, watch some of the country's best Division 1 wheelchair basketball teams compete in the Homecoming Wheelchair Basketball Tournament while the women's volleyball team hosts Texas State for Military Appreciation Night on Friday. Alumni can experience the women's and men's basketball games on Saturday, 2:30 and 7 PM respectively, a number of different ways. Either purchase a $20 alumni ticket package to catch both games and receive an alumni goody bag and free popcorn, or get your $25 ticket for Party on the Plaza that includes admission to the College Park Center Northwest Deck where you can enjoy appetizers and one drink coupon while watching the parade pass by before making your way into the men's basketball game.
