UTA Day at the Rodeo
#

Mavericks of all ages were treated to a fun-filled afternoon at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo last Sunday. Prior to the rodeo, the UTA family gathered for a barbecue lunch and special message from President Vistasp Karbhari. More than 150 alumni and friends of the University then packed a section of the Will Rogers Coliseum to take in the sights and sounds of Fort Worth's biggest rodeo event. SEE THE PHOTOS

Lofty Appointment
UTA Alumni Relations

Krishnan Rajeshwar, distinguished university professor of chemistry and biochemistry, has been appointed editor in chief of the ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, a publication of the Electrochemical Society. The appointment began Jan. 1 and will run for three years, through Dec. 31, 2021. As editor, Rajeshwar will manage a technical editor/associate editor team of five people with support from the ECS Publications staff. READ MORE

Mujeres Legendarias

Two UTA community leaders received notable recognition from Ford Motor Company as recipients of the 2018 Mujeres Legendarias award. Gina Garcia Paredes ('99), owner of civil engineering firm Paredes-Garcia & Associates (far left), and Rose Youngblood, UTA associate vice president for Development and University Initiatives (second from left), both earned the honor for their contributions in areas such as business, community work, education, and the environment. All Majors job fair
CareerCon2016

The spring 2019 All Majors Job Fair will take place Wednesday, February 27 at the Maverick Activities Center. Alumni are encouraged to participate and interact with the more than 150 employers expected to attend. The fair will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM. No RSVP is required. READ MORE
