The extremely popular Hardline afternoon show on The Ticket (1310 AM/96.7 FM) will be broadcasting live inside College Park Center from 3-7 PM on Thursday, Feb. 21, in advance of the men’s basketball team’s pivotal Sun Belt Conference game against defending regular-season champion Louisiana. In partnership with eSix Sportswear, special packages are available that will allow fans into the arena to watch the broadcast beginning at 3:30 PM. MORE INFO

Alumni, friends, and University officials gathered Tuesday night to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Merwin, new dean of the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Merwin joins UTA after serving as the Duke University School of Nursing’s executive vice dean and the Ann Henshaw Gardiner Professor of Nursing and as professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University’s School of Medicine. Her selection as dean builds upon the positive national reputation that the UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation has earned. PHOTOS

Accolades continue for two of UTA's 180+ degree programs. CollegeChoice.net recently tabbed UTA as having the nation’s fifth-best master's degree program in human resources, one of the fastest-growing fields in the country. UTA's College of Nursing and Health Innovation also has one of the best online RN-to-MSN degree plans in the nation, according to NursingSchoolHub.com.

Jon Weidanz, associate vice president for research, is one of the 66 faculty, scientists, and administrators in the inaugural class of NAI Senior Members, the National Academy of Inventors announced. NAI Senior Members are active faculty, scientists, and administrators from NAI member institutions with success in patents, licensing, and commercialization. READ MORE
