VIRTUAL READING PROGRAM
John Romig, assistant professor of special education at UTA, is helping parents find educational activities for their kids during the COVID-19 global health crisis while also giving his own students practical experience. With the help of his students, Dr. Romig is offering a 30-minute virtual reading program twice a week. “When I told my students about the program, they were equally excited,” Romig said. “They looked at it as a service—them doing their part to make this situation better for as many people as they could.” READ MORE

UTA CARES
Four faculty members will receive grants from UTA Libraries to support the adoption and creation of open educational resources that make college more affordable for students. The funds, totaling nearly $31,000, come from a grant program known as UTA CARES, or UTA Coalition for Alternative Resources in Education for Students. READ MORE
