Record number of degrees awarded

UTA has awarded a record 11,526 degrees for the 2015-16 academic year, an increase of 8.8 percent from the previous year, continuing the trajectory of increasing conferrals for the third consecutive year. The University was recognized by Diverse Issues in Higher Education as a leader for degrees conferred to minority students. LEARN MORE.

Access salary letter information online

Faculty and staff may access their base salary information effective Sept. 1, 2016, online through the UT Share Employee Self Service page. At the prompt, select The University of Texas at Arlington from the list and log in with your Net ID and password. On this page, go to the My Reports section at the bottom right to locate your salary notification letter. Additional instructions can be found at uta.edu/hr. Schedule free health screening

  FREE on-site health checkups glyer  

Employees who are UT Select Medical Plan members can sign up for an on-site health checkup to improve preventative care. Checkups will be offered 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 10-11 at the Maverick Activities Center.Lab-accurate results will be reviewed with a board certified Nurse Practitioner in a private consultation. Checkups are covered at 100 percent so there's no out-of-pocket copays or coinsurance is required. The checkup requires approximately 30 minutes and you must schedule an appointment. LEARN MORE.

UTA Libraries to host debate viewings

Find out where the candidates stand on the issues by watching the presidential and vice presidential debates with other students, faculty, and staff.

All viewings will be held 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the sixth floor atrium of the Central Library.

  • Monday, Sept. 26—First Presidential Debate
  • Tuesday, Oct. 4—Vice Presidential Debate
  • Sunday, Oct. 9—Second Presidential Debate
  • Wednesday, Oct. 19—Third Presidential Debate

UTA to host Disability Issues Legislative Roundtable

The Coalition of Texans with Disabilities and the Disability Studies Minor are co-hosting a Disability Issues Legislative Roundtable 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in the San Saba Room of the E.H. Hereford University Center. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about how to do legislative advocacy and to share your views on pressing issues for disability communities. It comes with a free lunch and the opportunity to meet a number of key disability rights advocates. Advance registration is required, and space is limited.
