Chiao named Fellow by optics, photonics society

  J.-C. Chiao  

J.-C. Chiao, electrical engineering professor, has been named a Fellow of SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. He is the Janet and Mike Greene Endowed Professor and Jenkins Garrett Endowed Professor of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering. LEARN MORE.


UTA awarded $6 million in 2016 for new ways to identify, treat cancer

UTA is becoming a major cancer research center, receiving more than $6 million dollars in new grants in 2016 to strengthen its integrated cancer research program and improve outcomes across the complete spectrum of the patient experience. LEARN MORE.

Wenger new volleyball head coach

  J.T. Wenger  

Regarded as one of the top young coaches in the nation, J.T. Wenger has been named the head coach of the UTA volleyball program. He is a former assistant coach at UCLA, the University of Colorado, and Michigan State. Wenger takes over for Diane Seymour, who served as head coach 2004-16 and retired with an overall record of 211-195. He is the seventh coach in the history of the program. LEARN MORE.
