Watch games live as Mav basketball teams compete for tourney championship titles

Don't miss the action as four Maverick basketball teams play their way toward championship titles this week.

Sun Belt Conference games can be seen on ESPN3 or radio on KEXB 621 AM or Maverick Sports Network.

The Maverick men began SBC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament play against Coastal Carolina at 11:30 a.m. today, Friday, March 10. The winner will face the victor of today's 2 p.m. Texas State/ULM game at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11.

The No. 2 seed Lady Mavs play Troy at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the SBC women's tournament. The team scored 65-53 over South Alabama on Thursday (see photos).

Watch the games live for the National Wheelchair Basketball Intercollegiate Championship Tournaments in Whitewater, Wisc. Both title games are Saturday.

The Movin' Mavs men play Alabama at 2 p.m. today, Friday, March 10, after a 76-34 victory over Auburn on Thursday.

The returning champion Lady Movin' Mavs play Alabama for the title at 2 p.m. Saturday. The team beat Illinois by 68-19 Thursday.


SAC Benefits Fair Wednesday

Learn about the perks of being a Maverick at the 10th annual Celebrating Maverick Spirit Benefits Fair sponsored by the Staff Advisory Council. The fair is 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, in the Bluebonnet Ballroom in the University Center. Meet representatives of 65 businesses and organizations that provide services and discounts to UTA employees. Bring your Mav ID and be there early for the free Maverick spirit items for the first 300 attendees. Don't miss your chance to win a door prize and enjoy food and fun. Register now for the on-site health screening and a blood drive at uta.edu/sac/benefitsfair.

Spring Break schedules announced for dining, MAC, libraries

Expect a break in routine at UTA—from dining options to exercise opportunities—during Spring Break, Monday-Friday, March 13-17. The University is closed Friday, March 17.

Dining sites open Monday-Thursday at the University Center are Starbucks (8 a.m.-2 p.m.), Market/Freshii (8 a.m.-2 p.m.), and The Short Line (11 a.m.-2 p.m.). The Connection Cafe closes Saturday, March 11, and reopens at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19.

The University Club in Davis Hall hosts a St. Patrick's Day buffet Wednesday, but will be closed Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday. See the buffet menu. For reservations, call 2-1867.
