The Staff Advisory Council will host an open question-and-answer forum with President Vistasp Karbhari and other University administrators 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, in Room 100 of Nedderman Hall.


West Nile Virus case reported in Fort Worth

Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) has confirmed the first human case of West Nile Virus for the 2017 season. The case is in Fort Worth and is the mild form of the disease. To do your part in eradicating mosquitos this summer, watch TCPH’s videos Mosquitoes Love Water, Eliminate Mosquito Breeding Sites, and Barrier Treatments to Prevent Mosquitoes.


Register for NSF workshop July 19-21 in Arlington

UTA is a sponsor of a National Science Foundation workshop on advanced manufacturing research for aerospace set for Wednesday-Friday, July 19-21, at the Hilton Arlington. Mickey McCabe, executive director of the UTA Research Institute, and Peter Crouch, dean of the College of Engineering, are keynote speakers. Register online.
