Claim your tickets now to see UTA alumnus Lou Diamond Phillips at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Texas Hall for the 10th anniversary season of the Maverick Speakers Series.

The actor, director, writer, and producer graduated from UTA in 1985 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre arts.

Tickets are free for faculty, staff, and students at utatickets.com; limit two per UTA ID. General admission tickets are $5. Season tickets, preferred tickets, and VIP packages include special benefits.

Proceeds benefit UTA's Emergency Assistance Fund to aid Mavericks affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Register your vehicle; Maverick Garage Nights a new option
   

The Maverick Garage Night Only permit—$219 per semester or $600 per academic year—allows faculty, staff, and students access to the preferred stalls in the Maverick Garage 5 p.m.-7 a.m. Monday-Friday and all weekend.

Other parking options include permits for the academic year, one semester, monthly, and weekly, and the Maverick Parking Garage. Read more about parking options.

Volunteers needed for All-Majors Job Fair

The Lockheed Martin Career Development Center needs more than 125 volunteers to help make the Fall 2017 All-Majors Job Fair a success. The Job Fair is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Maverick Activities Center. Register to volunteer by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.
