UTArlingtonX launches first MOOC

The first offering in the UTArlingtonX program of study hosted on edX launches today, Monday, Oct. 30. Learning Analytics Fundamentals is a massive open online course (MOOC) on the fundamentals of learning analytics and their application across a wide range of contexts, including formal academic study, the workplace, and informal settings. To register, visit edX.org.

The Follett Student Leadership Center and Tri-C Campus Ministries are accepting donations for the UTA Food Pantry. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the front desk of the Maverick Activities Center, Room 203 of Carlisle Hall, Room 508A of Hammond Hall, and the Arlington Regional Data Center.

Flu shots are available for faculty and staff 1-4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, and 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Nov. 7, in Room 200 of the Wetsel Service Center. The vaccine is free for employees with the UT Select medical plan. All others need to bring $20 in cash or by check. Bring a copy of your insurance card and driver’s license. Register online.
