Network maintenance to disrupt service Sunday Morning

  under maintenance

Faculty, staff, and students will have no or limited access to UTA resources during an upgrade of the network’s operating system and firewalls midnight–6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 19. The maintenance is expected to cause intermittent disruptions to the internet and network communication within campus lasting up to an hour. For more information, view the system status page and subscribe to IT Status to receive the latest maintenance updates and critical notifications.

Significant data loss with manual update of Windows 10

  warning

Do not manually install updates for Windows 10 because of potential data loss. A compatibility issue with the recent Fall Creators Update and the University's encryption software causes significant data loss. Faculty and staff can continue to use the Office of Information Technology-approved updates located in the SCCM Software Center on their devices. OIT recommends all faculty and staff install Crashplan as a backup solution to recover any future or potential data loss. Please contact the IT Help Desk at 817-272-2208 or helpdesk@uta.edu if you have questions or concerns. You also may submit a ticket using the self-service portal.
