UTA wins Heroes of the Dorm national championship
|
|
A 3-0 victory over LSU in the grand finale gave UTA an undefeated season and the title in the esport Heroes of the Dorm national championship. UTA came in second last year in the collegiate competition where teams play the video game Heroes of the Storm. The UTAHOTD team totaled a 29-0 game season with a 14:25 average game time. All five members of the team won free tuition for their remaining collegiate years. LEARN MORE.

The Shorthorn, UTA’s student-run news agency has been recognized with 97 awards from four organizations for excellence in reporting, editing, photography, design, marketing, sales, and more. The accolades represent achievement at the state, regional, and national levels. LEARN MORE.

UTA cheerleaders win fourth consecutive NCA title

|
UTA's cheerleading team won its fourth consecutive national championship Friday at the National Cheerleaders Association's collegiate cheer competition in Daytona, Florida. UTA’s 17-member Maverick Cheer squad took home first place in the Small Coed Division I group. LEARN MORE.

Get moving with Zumbathon fundraiser
|
|
UTA's fifth annual Zumbathon Dance for a Cause, hosted by Campus Recreation and the Relationship Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention program, raises money for The Women's Center. Attend the Zumba sessions 6-6:50 p.m. daily through Thursday, April 13, at the Maverick Activities Center. A $5 donation is suggested.

Early voting for May 6 election at MAC
|
|
UTA is a polling place for early voting in the May 6 joint general and special elections. Voting will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, April 25-27, in the Maverick Activities Center. Learn more about the election on the Tarrant County Election Office website and at votetexas.gov.
