Library mall undergoes a facelift

UTA Libraries has collaborated with Facilities Management on the first phase of an overhaul of the Library mall to enhance the Maverick experience.

The goal of the project, which includes an updated deck, restored fountain feature, and Wi-Fi upgrade, was to soften the mall’s appearance and create additional student study spaces for the fall 2020 semester.

Power outage planned this weekend

The Office of Facilities Management has scheduled an electrical outage from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, until sometime Saturday night, Aug. 29. The outage will allow for the replacement of 1,000 feet of campus electrical feeder cabling that failed over the weekend.

Affected buildings are CAPPA, Engineering Laboratory, Fine Arts, Geoscience, Nanofab, Nedderman Hall, and Woolf Hall.

Emergency back-up generators in these buildings will be maintained throughout this outage to power crucial services. Save any computer work or data to prevent possible loss.
