Classroom Operation
Using the Echo360 Lecture Capture equipment in the classroom

Teaching Classes in Echo360 Equipped Rooms
ERB 129, ERB 130
- Select Power On on the Crestron switch to turn on the projector.

The Crestron switch is located on a wall near the entrance door.

- Turn on the classroom PC (if it will be used during lecture).
Select “PC” (On the Crestron Box it is in the top row, the second button from the left) to send the display from the classroom PC to the projector screen.
- Turn on the Document Camera (if you plan to use a laptop PC or the Document Camera to present your lecture).

Select Doc Camera on the Crestron switch (shown above).
4. To switch between your laptop and the Document Camera plug/unplug the VGA connector from your laptop.
After Class:
- Log out of and shut down the classroom PC
- Turn the Projector off
- Turn the Document Camera off.
ERB 131
Select Power On on the Crestron switch to turn on the projector. The Crestron switch is on the teaching station, and looks like a small display. Select Displays --> Projector On/Off.

- Turn on the classroom PC (if it will be used during lecture). It is located in the cabinet of the teaching station.
- Turn on the Document Camera (if you plan to use a laptop PC or the Document Camera to present your lecture).

Select Doc Camera on the Crestron switch (shown above).
4. To switch between your laptop and the Document Camera plug/unplug the VGA connector from your laptop.
After Class:
- Log out of and shut down the classroom PC
- Turn the Projector off
- Turn the Document Camera off.
ELB 229
NH100

- Turn on the Video Projector using the remote control.
- Turn on the Document Camera.
- Turn on the classroom PC if needed.
- If the projection screen is up, drop the screen by pressing “Projector ON/OFF” on the Crestron panel on the wall.
- Adjust the room lights as needed using the buttons on the Crestron panel.
NH105
- Turn on the “Monitor/Camera” wall switch

2. Select Power On on the Crestron switch to turn on the projector.
3. Turn on the classroom PC (if it will be used during lecture).
Select “PC” (Top row, second from left) to send the display from the classroom PC to the projector screen.
4. Turn on the Document Camera (if you plan to use a laptop PC or the Document Camera to present your lecture).

Select Doc Camera on the Crestron switch (shown above).
- To switch between your laptop and the Document Camera plug/unplug the VGA connector from your laptop.
- If the camera is not properly focused on the
podium,
- Select Camera 1 on the RM-EV100 remote

- Press button 1
- Select Camera 1 on the RM-EV100 remote
3. Turn on the wireless mic and clip it on. Note: If you plan to play audio from your laptop you will need to place the microphone beside your PC’s speakers.
After Class:
- Log out of and shut down the classroom PC
- Turn the Projector off
- Turn the Document Camera off.
- Turn of the wireless mic and return it to the
teaching station.
NH106
At the beginning of class:
- Turn the Projector on using the Crestron switch on the wall.

- Drop the display screen using the switch on the wall.
- Turn on the Document Camera.
- If you will be using it, turn on the classroom PC.


- If you are using a laptop, connect the Laptop VGA cable on the desk.

Please note that the whiteboard and chalkboard will NOT be recorded by the Echo360 system.
At the end of class:
- Turn the Projector OFF
- Turn the Document Camera OFF.
- Turn the classroom PC OFF.
NH108
At the beginning of class:
- Using the Wall Switch beside the podium, turn the Projector ON button. Wait for the video projector to warm up.

- Pull the display screen down, if necessary.
- Turn the Document Camera ON if you plan to use it during your lecture.

- Connect the Laptop VGA cable on the desk to your PC (if you are using a laptop).

- To select between the Document Camera and your Laptop, unplug the video cable from your laptop.
Please note that the whiteboard and chalkboard will NOT be recorded by the Echo360 system.
At the end of class:
- Using the wall switch beside the podium, turn the Projector OFF. The video projector will shut down.
- Log out of the PC in the classroom by selecting Log Off, Restart, or Shut Down.
- Turn the Document Camera OFF.
NH109, NH110, NH111, NH112
- Turn on the “Monitor/Camera” wall switch

2. Select Power On on the Crestron switch to turn on the projector.
3. Turn on the classroom PC (if it will be used during lecture).
Select “PC” (Top row, second from left) to send the display from the classroom PC to the projector screen.
4. Turn on the Document Camera (if you plan to use a laptop PC or the Document Camera to present your lecture).

- To switch between your laptop and the Document Camera plug/unplug the VGA connector from your laptop.
- If the camera is not properly focused on the

- Select Camera 1 on the RM-EV100 remote

- Press button 1
- Select Camera 1 on the RM-EV100 remote
After Class:
- Log out of and shut down the classroom PC
- Turn the Projector off
- Turn the Document Camera off.
NH202, NH203, NH229
At the beginning of class:
- Using the Wall Switch beside the podium, turn the Projector ON button. Wait for the video projector to warm up.
- Pull the display screen down, if necessary.
- Turn the Document Camera ON if you plan to use it during your lecture.

- Connect the Laptop VGA cable on the desk to your PC (if you are using a laptop).

- To select between the Document Camera and your Laptop, unplug the video cable from your laptop.

At the end of class:
