Mike Greene’s career with TXU began in 1969 as a junior engineer in the Power Department at Texas Electric Service Company. Over the years, he held several executive positions at TXU, including power sales representative, plant superintendent, general manager of engineering, executive vice president of TXU Fuel, executive vice president of TXU Mining, president of electric transmission, president of TXU Pipeline and president of Oncor, Energy Future Holdings’ regulated transmission and distribution business, before becoming chairman and CEO of TXU Power in May 2004.

Mr. Greene is a member of the Electric Power Research Institute’s Board of Directors, the Texas Railroad Commission’s Texas Energy Reliability Council and the Governor’s Competitiveness Council. He is past chairman of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). A registered professional engineer in Texas, Mr. Greene is a member of the National and Texas Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
