Chuck Ostrander has advanced through various management positions with Centel, Contel, GTE, Genuity and Verizon. He joined Centel in 1980 as a draftsperson located in Ft. Dodge, Iowa and moved through a variety of Contel and GTE Outside Plant positions. In 1999, he was named Director/Access-Transmission Design & Construction with GTE, where he oversaw deployment of ADSL, AAIS and the DSL Qualification tool.

In 2000, Mr. Ostrander was named Director/Engineering & Planning with Genuity with the responsibilities to build a major DWDM backbone and Internet Core Network. In 2003, he was appointed Director/Network Engineering and Planning - FTTP, where he oversaw the design and implementation of Verizon’s Fiber-to-the-Prem project encompassing the west footprint. In June of 2006, Mr. Ostrander returned to his outside plant roots in his current position of Director/Network Engineering and Technology for the Texas region.

Mr. Ostrander is currently responsible for managing Verizon Network Services Group’s outside engineering forces within the Texas region for the planning and designing of core and FTTP networks.
