In addition to his own leadership duties, Mr. Stephens coaches and mentors young professionals, and is actively involved in leadership development initiatives preparing the future business and technical leaders of the company. He teaches engineering and management topics in the Lockheed Martin Leadership Development Program and the Professional Development Program, and has taught evening classes at UT Arlington and at Mountain View College.
An Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mr. Stevens was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the Institute. He is a member of several professional societies, including the International Council on Systems Engineering and the Project Management Institute. He has held leadership positions in a number of community service organizations and many professional and university advisory boards and committees.
