Engineering Commencement Ceremonies

Happy graduates

The College of Engineering will conduct its fall commencement ceremonies on Saturday, December 12.

There will be two ceremonies:
9:00am - BME, CSE, CE, IE degrees
12:30pm - AE, EE, MSE, ME degrees

Graduating students should have applied for graduation either through the Registrar's Office or the Graduate School before submitting a ceremony reservation to the College of Engineering.

Graduating students are asked to gather in the atrium of Nedderman Hall at least one hour before the scheduled starting time to assemble for the procession to Texas Hall.

Graduating students must submit a reservation form to participate in the commencement ceremony. Please complete and submit one of these forms by November 20:
Bachelor's degree candidates
Master's degree candidates
Doctoral degree candidates

All graduates will be photographed during the commencement ceremony.  Complimentary proofs will be mailed to the graduates the week after the ceremony.  Questions about photographs should be sent to www.FLASHphotography.com.

Parents and friends of graduating students are invited to attend the College of Engineering commencement ceremonies. Everyone is also invited to a reception on the east lawn of Texas Hall following the ceremony.

Guests and friends must have tickets to enter Texas Hall; tickets to the event are free. After graduating students register for the ceremony, they will receive via e-mail six (6) guest tickets. On or about November 25, graduating students will receive via e-mail a link to the UT Arlington ticket site to order up to four additional guest tickets. It is extremely important that graduating students accurately enter a working e-mail address when registering.

Commencement information for visitors.

Only those students eligible to graduate in the current semester are permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony. Requests for exemption from this policy must be submitted in writing, explaining the specific situation; send exemption requests to commencement@engineering.uta.edu by Monday, November 16.

Graduating students must wear regalia in the ceremony. The UT Arlington Bookstore has bachelor's and master's regalia available for purchase and doctoral regalia for purchase or rent. Please secure your regalia as soon as possible. (NOTE: If you have earned academic honors, you do not need to purchase honor cords at the bookstore.  The College of Engineering provides them to you when you check-in for commencement.)
