Robert S. Gnuse has more than 30 years of progressive management experience in the engineering and environmental consulting industry. Most recently, he has provided management and sales consulting services for firms through GNUSE Consulting Group, LLC. Consulting assignments have ranged from designing sales training programs, facilitation of strategic business plans, White Paper studies on entering foreign or domestic marketplaces and the facilitation of annual planning meetings for ENR ranked firms.
He is an Adjunct Professor at Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University, where he teaches management and international business courses.
Mr. Gnuse has developed sales training courses and taught basic sales principles to more than 500 technical professionals, who need to persuade at the decision-making levels of companies.
Prior to founding his consulting practice in 2008, Mr. Gnuse was Senior Vice President – Director of Sales and Marketing for Georgia-based MACTEC Engineering & Consulting, Inc. (formerly Law Engineering), where he was responsible for the oversight and direction of all business development programs of the $500 million Corporation.
Highlights of his responsibilities and achievements in that position include: driving growth of sales revenues to exceed the $500 million mark; the development and management of key sales and marketing initiatives (e.g., national key client program, client satisfaction program, sales management initiatives); leadership and implementation of emerging market sector initiatives in energy, sustainability, and facility asset management services; and the promotion and leadership of company business ventures into China and other international markets overseas.
A registered Professional Engineer in four states, Mr. Gnuse held the technical title of Senior Principal Engineer at MACTEC. He practiced in the public and commercial/industrial marketplace and has been the principal reviewer of hundreds of environmental, geotechnical and property condition assessment reports.
Mr. Gnuse holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Regis University and Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. In addition, he has earned the professional designations of Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) and LEED® AP sustainability certification. He currently serves on the University of Texas Arlington's College of Engineering Board of Advisors.
