Geralyn Kever began her career at Hewlett Packard with a focus on telecommunications. She currently works with energy providers and pharmaceutical companies, providing process for issue management, collaborates with clients to develop a communication strategy, and conducts issue-oriented communication labs in high risk, high stakes communication arenas.
Ms. Kever is a community leader with a solid track record of success. She was elected to serve on the McKinney ISD School Board in 1997 and was re-elected in 2000 and 2003. Her colleagues voted her school board president six times from 2000 to 2006.
In 2008, Ms. Kever was elected as a member of the McKinney City Council, representing District 2. In this capacity, Ms. Kever represents McKinney and several other cities on the Regional Transportation Council, the independent transportation polity body of the Metropolitan Planning Organization. She also serves on the Council Capital Assets Committee, and has served as Council liaison to the McKinney Community Development Corporation, the McKinney Arts Commission, and various other city boards and commissions.
Ms. Kever currently serves on the the Samaritan Inn board and has recently been active on the McKinney Education Foundation and the McKinney Alliance. She has served multiple terms on the airport board, the McKinney Economic Development Board and the McKinney Arts Commission.
