Make Your Gift Go Farther With Maverick Match
The College of Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington not only offers the most comprehensive education in north Texas, but it also offers a plan to double your money.
The Maverick Match is a unique one-to-one matching gift program at UT Arlington designed to bolster the University’s endowment and support academics.
In keeping with its commitment to utilize gas royalty funds to support student scholarships, fellowships and faculty recruitment, the University will match donated funds for new endowments. This includes supporting undergraduate and graduate students.
The program will strategically leverage UT Arlington’s gas royalties to match, dollar-for-dollar, all gifts beginning at $25,000 and up to $500,000 that are designated for endowments. Gifts above the $500k level will be matched at 50 percent of the donated amount.
It is possible for groups and associations to fund endowments and receive the Maverick Match. Also, matching funds provided by corporate matching programs are eligible for the Maverick Match.
To qualify for the match, all pledges must be paid out over a period of no more than five years.
Maverick Match funds will be placed in the endowment at the end of each fiscal year, matching the donor’s contributions and any contributions from corporate matching plans for that year. This way, earnings begin accumulating from the first year of establishment.
The Maverick Match provides scholarships and fellowships in the following disciplines: Bioengineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. There are also opportunities in NANO technologies.
By establishing an endowment that qualifies for the Maverick Match, you are doubling your investment in the future by ensuring a lasting legacy of educating tomorrow’s engineers.
