Password/Login Help for ECDE Courses

You will need to know your Windows NT username and password to view ECDE courses. This is the same username and password used to log on to many of the computers on campus. Your default password MUST be changed before you will be able to gain access to the ECDE on-line course materials.

Student NT usernames are typically first, middle, last initial followed by the last four digits of your UTA student ID number in the format fml####. An X will be used in place of your middle initial if you did not provide the registrar's office with a middle name.

If you have never logged on to a computer on campus before, chances are your password is still set to the default. The default password is your date of birth followed by the first two digits of your UTA student ID number, in the format MMDDYY##.

You MUST change this default password before you can gain access to the ECDE on-line course materials.

1. Learn your username (see information above).
2. If you forgot your password, reset it at http://oit.uta.edu/resetpassword .
3. Once it has been successfully reset, you MUST change it at http://oit.uta.edu/changepassword .
4. If it was changed successfully, you should receive a screen saying "Password Changed Successfully." If you do not receive this, go back and re-read the red text above making sure your new password conforms to the rules outlined and try again.
5. After your password has been changed successfully you should have a username and password that will allow you to gain access to the ECDE web sites.
