
Clifford A. Hahne serves as senior vice president of the Hanson Building Products West Region. Hanson is one of the world’s largest suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. It produces aggregates (crushed rock, sand and gravel), ready-mixed and precast concrete, asphalt and cement-related materials and a range of building products including concrete pipes, concrete pavers, tiles and clay bricks.
As Hanson Building Products West Region senior vice president, Mr. Hahne manages a team of 2,000 as well as operations of 45 Hanson Pipe & Precast, Hanson Structural Precast and Hanson Roof Tile facilities west of the Mississippi River. His responsibilities also include overseeing the cement purchasing agreements for all of Hanson’s U.S. facilities within Hanson Building Products North America.
Following his graduation from UT Arlington with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, he started his career in concrete as a plant manager for Australia-based Pioneer International, later advancing to vice president by 1990. In 1994, he moved to Australia to be general manager over the company’s Western Australia and Queensland regions.
Mr. Hahne returned to Texas in 1997 as president and general manager of the South Central Region for Pioneer Concrete of Texas. Pioneer’s operations were acquired by Hanson in 1999. Hanson, itself, was acquired by the Heidelberg Cement Group in 2007.
His professional affiliations include currently serving as a member of the National Concrete Precast Association and American Concrete Pipe Association, and as Chairman of the Board of the American Concrete Pressure Pipe Association. He is a former board member of the Texas Concrete and Aggregate Association and National Ready Mix Association.
Mr. Hahne has also received awards and recognition from the U.S. Department of Labor, the Associated General Contractors and the Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association for his contributions to the concrete industry. He currently resides in Colleyville with his wife and children and is active in the community with the Boy Scouts of America Association.
