User Info


NanoFab facilities are available for use by university-affiliated and outside individuals. Please supply the following clearance information if you plan to use the facilities. The NanoFab staff may ask for additional details; a meeting may be scheduled to further discuss your project. .

UT-Arlington Faculty and Students

  • Send an e-mail containing the following information to nanofab@uta.edu. Students: please send a copy to your faculty advisor.


    1. Your name and department and the name of your faculty advisor (if applicable).
    2. A brief description, in Word format, of your project.
    3. A list of materials that you currently have; i.e., samples, lithography masks, glassware, tweezers, etc. Write ‘none’ if you have no materials at this time.
    4. A timeline for the proposed work. If a timeline does not apply, give an approximate date you would like to start the project.
    5. In a PowerPoint presentation, provide details of the processes that you want to accomplish using NanoFab facilities. Use illustrations with the description, especially if you are planning to do fabrication.

 

NanoFab Safety & Protocol Training is required before using the facility. See the Training Schedule.

 

Standard Operating Procedures for our equipment are available for your reference use only. See Information for Users. (A UT Arlington NetID and Password are required for downloading the SOPs.)

 

Have questions? Faculty requiring the NanoFab staff’s assistance with any process or measurement such as SEM, FIB/e-beam writing, etc. should send an inquiry to nanofab@uta.edu.

Non-university Users


Other users should be prepared to submit most of the same information, but are advised to contact us beforehand at nanofab@uta.edu or 817-272-1536 for details.
