Lawrence, who arrived at UTA in 1961, has been a professor through many significant historical events, including the Kennedy assassination, the Vietnam War, and the early years of space flight, including the United States putting men on the moon.
Aerospace engineering professor Donald Wilson is close on Lawrence’s heels, with 45 years of service.
Celebrating 35 years at UTA is Professor George Kondraske (Electrical Engineering). Professors Alan Davis and John Stevens (Electrical Engineering) and Albert Tong (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) are celebrating 30 years. Professors Wen Chan (Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering) and Saibun Tjuatja (Electrical Engineering), and Civil Engineering Systems Administrator Lewis Crow are all celebrating 25 years.
