166 Students Honored at Student Awards Banquet
Monday, April 22, 2013
The College of Engineering celebrated the successes of 166 students at the Student Awards Banquet April 17, recognizing all those who earned scholarships or other awards on a national, College or department level in 2012.
The full list of awards and to whom they were given can be found here. Congratulations to all of the students for their outstanding achievements.
In his speech, the full text of which can be found here, Dean Jean-Pierre Bardet noted how the contributions of faculty, staff, students and donors combine to make great things happen. He also thanked the donors for their generosity and urged students to be involved as donors or leaders of the College after graduation.
"The Student Awards Banquet is a very special night for the College, because it gives our students the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the efforts," said the dean. "It is also nice to see our students meet the donors who have contributed to their success and thank them in person. Without the combined efforts of the students, faculty and staff, and donors, the College would be hard-pressed to enjoy the success that it has."
