Welcome Bash Will Greet New and Returning Students
Tuesday, August 5, 2014
The College of Engineering will kick off the 2014-15 academic year on Wednesday, September 3, with its annual Welcome Bash.
The festivities will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the Engineering Mall outside Nedderman Hall. All engineering students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend.
"The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for the College, and we like to take the opportunity to welcome our returning students back to campus and give our new students a chance to meet friends and professors and see the clubs and activities that we offer," said Tracey Faulkinbury, the College's director of marketing.
Attendees from the College of Engineering can listen to music provided by a deejay, win prizes, pick up a coveted College of Engineering t-shirt (while supplies last), have their picture taken in a photo booth, eat free food, and visit with local industry representatives. The University's dance team and Blaze will make an appearance, and departments and student organizations also will be present.
