Kramer Levin Expands its Intellectual Property Department
with the Addition of Top Patent Litigator Robert
Morris

New York, NY -- Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel
LLP announced today that Robert W.
Morris has joined the firm’s New York office as a
partner in its 50-attorney Intellectual Property Department.
Mr. Morris comes from Ropes & Gray and
was originally with the IP boutique, Fish &
Neave.
For over ten years, Mr. Morris has been trial counsel in
numerous patent, trade secret and other commercial litigations
relating to semiconductor processing technology,
high-technology electronics, computer systems and software,
and various other technologies. He also regularly acts as
counsel to clients concerning licensing opportunities, patent
validity and infringement and patent prosecution.

Property Department" said Paul Pearlman, Kramer Levin’s
managing partner. "Robert’s expertise in patent litigation
coupled with his proficiency in patent prosecution and
licensing will further solidify our position as a premier
intellectual property practice."
In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Mr.
Morris manages complex U.S. and international patent
portfolios, while providing overall counseling for the
management of intellectual property assets. In this regard,
Robert also provides counseling related to opinion work,
intellectual property licensing and product clearances.

high-technology clients, handling a notable docket of complex
matters," stated Nicholas Coch, Chairman of the firm’s
Intellectual Property Department. "He joins an established
group of attorneys with great experience in protecting and

Mr. Morris holds a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law at
Newark where he was editor of the Rutgers Law Review.
Prior to law school, he received a M.S. in Computer
Science and Engineering from the University of Texas at
Arlington and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie
Mellon University.
