New medical director, health authority named at TCPH
Her new job: Sandra K. Parker has joined Tarrant County Public Health as the new medical direct and health authority.
Her background: Parker was most recently a civilian family practice medical officer with the United States Navy at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth. She is a graduate of the medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. She performed her residency requirements for family medicine at Louisiana State University’s E.A. Conway Division in Monroe after completing an internship with the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio in the Department of Pathology. She graduated summa cum laude from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a licensed physician in Texas and Louisiana, a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians and an AAFP board-certified family practice physician.
