Investment banker unloads Yorkville condo

Singanallur Narayanan sold the two-bedroom, two-bath condo Unit #14H at 301 E. 79th St. in Yorkville to Donald Henderson and Maren Henderson for $837,500 on Nov. 3.

Narayanan is a managing partner and the senior investment banker of Kuberon Capital LLC, a hedge fund in New York.

Prior to Kuberon Capital, he was managing director for the Bear Stearns Asset Management, and was a managing director with Heckman Global Advisors, Inc. He has also served as vice president with Citigroup Salomon Smith Barney, Bear Stearns Inc. and with Lehman Bros. Inc.

He earned his M.B.A from Columbia University-Columbia Business School, his M.S. in computer science and engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, and his bachelor's in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India.

The Continental Towers houses 538 units on 36 floors, and was built in 1974.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 201 condo sales in Yorkville during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $612,500.
