How Does it Work? Engineering Saturday in Breckenridge is an all day event. The day is broken down into 3 sessions. During each of the 3 sessions, your student will be able to choose one presentation to attend. Different presentations with engineering hands-on activities will be offered during each session. At least 3 different presentations for each age group will be run throughout the day in order to provide all age groups with the chance to attend different presentations during each of the sessions.
Attentions Parents! During at least 1 of the 3 sessions, a College Prep informational session on college applications, financial aid, and other topics will be available.
Engineering Saturday is designed as a family activity. Activities are available for students of all ages. Students will have choices based on age group as listed below:

High School grades (9th - 12th)

| Lower Elementary (Pre-K - 2nd grade)

Below School Age (Infant - age 3) EACH BELOW SCHOOL AGE CHILD MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AT ALL TIMES BY THE RESPONSIBLE ADULT AGE 18 OR OLDER WHO BROUGHT THEM TO ENGINEERING SATURDAY

Accompanying Responsible Adults If Below School Age children were brought, the Responsible Adult must remain with those children at all times.

Activities :
The High School, Middle School, Upper Elementary and Lower Elementary age groups will have module choices with age-appropriate engineering presentations and hands-on activities; Adults may attend activities with students or attend college informational session on applications, financial aid, and other topics.

All Engineering Saturday Breckenridge activities will take place at Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, TX.
Each attending student below age 18 must have a responsible adult present throughout the Engineering Saturday activities. The responsible adult must be 18 or older.

Registration Instructions for Families
• Registration forms should be filled out by the parent or guardian of the attending child(ren) and the form should give the name of the responsible adult who will attend Engineering Saturday with their child(ren)/student(s). A photo release form must also be filled out for each child or attending adult that will be attending Engineering Saturday in Breckenridge.
• Parent/guardians will be asked to include an electronic signaure on their forms or to fax or mail in a form with their signature on it for their student(s) who are attending Engineering Saturday. The parent/guardian signature on the form (electronic or handwritten) indicates that the named responsible adult has responsibility for their student during the Engineering Saturday activities. Examples of responsible adults who are not parent/guardians might be scout troop leaders or a carpool drivers.
• Only one registration form is needed per family, but one photo release form is necessary for each attending child and adult.
• Each attending student below age 18 must have a responsible adult present on the Breckenridge High School campus throughout the Engineering Saturday activities. The responsible adult must be 18 or older.
• Older students of driving age may be considered "responsible adults" and may bring themselves with the parental permission as indicated by the parent's signature on the registration form. Students under age 18 may not be responsible for anyone other than themselves during Engineering Saturday.

Information for Breckenridge Presenters
Calling All Partners in Engineering Outreach!
You and your organization have the most important role in Engineering Saturdays.
You provide the FUN!
You choose your audience from the age groups listed above. Tell us how many students you can accommodate (up to 30). You decide what activity and information are appropriate for your hour and a half module that appeals to your audience.
Then, based on the schedule from the main page, you could present your module one time (in any session) or two times or even during all three sessions. You tell us how many times you'd like to present your activity on Engineering Saturday. Students coming to Engineering Saturday will choose their activities as they sign in on a first-come, first-served basis.
UTA College of Engineering is advertising the event, registering the students, and managing the overall activity. The venue is provided by the Breckenridge Independent School District, and Engineering Saturday in Breckenridge is completely funded by Breckenridge sponsors.
