Engineering and Computer Science Summer Camps 2014

2014 Summer Programs:  Entry / Gateway / Bridge / Access / Girlgeneering
The University of Texas at Arlington College of Engineering

The Engineering and Computer Science Camps are designed to be fun and educational experiences for students. Our one week camps were created to provide students with a broad exposure to the variety of engineering disciplines -- aerospace, biomedical, civil & environmental, computer science, electrical, industrial, materials science and mechanical -- plus related topics in chemistry, physics, and/or math. Field trips to see engineering at area businesses and team projects supplement the classroom activities and hands-on experiences. Each session is limited to 50 students. The Bridge and Gateway camps are residential camps with a Sunday evening orientation session and the Access, Entry, and Girlgeneering camps are 8:30 am to 5:30pm day camps with a Monday morning orientation session. All camps have a Friday evening awards session. The program fees cover a participant's meals, housing (if applicable), insurance, project materials and activities.

Application materials are now available here. Thank you for your interest in our Summer Camps. We have more applications than we have space. Please look at our other shorter summer camp opportunities.

Summer Camps Q&A Summer Camps Schedule

The fees charged to campers do not cover the entire cost of hosting these programs. We also seek funding from corporate sources, foundations, and other agencies. Hosting these camps is contingent on receiving sufficient support from these sources to support these programs. We are accepting applications for all camps. When we have confirmed funding for a camp, we will accept students for that program. We will keep all applicants informed of the camp status.
