What Is The ESA

The ESA was founded in order to provide an opportunity for networking amongst UT Arlington English students. Although many members are English majors, it is not a requirement for membership. Everyone is welcome! The organization is for UT Arlington students interested in English literature and rhetoric.

What Can ESA Do For You?

Initially, the ESA gives you an ESA T-shirt with the ESA Logo on the front and the words "English Student Association officially avoiding math since 2005" on the back.

Every month, the English Student Association organizes events for members, including:

  • Dinner and Bookshare
  • Valentines Hangover
  • Write Night

Other events and activities are decided upon by members and will be announced during meetings, in the Newsletter, and on the Myspace page..

For participating in these events, active members are given a set of Grad Cords!

How Can I Join?

Dues are $15 per semester. This pays for your ESA shirt, graduation cords, food at meetings, and other various expenses. You MUST pay dues to participate in organization activities and you must participate in at least 3 events throughout the semester to be considered an active member and earn your Grad Cord and T-shirt.
