General Information:

The University of Texas at Arlington's exchange program with the University of Leicester in the English Midlands offers UTA students a chance to study overseas for a semester or year, starting in either January or September. Students earn UTA credit while taking classes with local faculty and students.

Requirements for Application:
Student status at UTA (minimum of 6 hours enrollment in semester of application)
A minimum 3.0 GPA
Junior, Senior, or Graduate standing
An ability to be open-minded about learning and living in another country

Housing:
Accommodations are available in a variety of off-campus formats: dormitory-style (self-catered or meal plan), or shared apartments/houses. Arrangements are made through the University of Leicester's International office.

Expected Program Expenses:
A program budget is available upon request from the Office of International Education.

Financial Aid and Scholarships:
Financial Aid normally received for study at UTA may continue to be utilized during this program. If you are on any federal or state financial aid, you should discuss the specifics of the application of such aid and the possible adjustment of your need level with an advisor in the Office of International Education and an advisor in the Financial Aid Office. Participants are eligible to apply for an International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS). Applications are available at www.uta.edu/oie/sab.
