Senior Seminar
ENGL 4399 SENIOR SEMINAR (3-0)
Capstone course for English majors. A writing-intensive, seminar-style,
in-depth study of a topic. Content may consist of a figure or figures, a
period, a literary movement, a thematic, or a critical theory.
Prerequisite: ENGL 2350 with a grade of C or better and completion of 18 hours of 3000 - 4000 level courses required for the English major; a hard requirement.
Course cap: 15.
Course instructor: tenured or tenure-track faculty only
Course requirements: at
least 20 pages of writing, including a research paper formatted
according to MLA guidelines (or others, at instructor’s discretion);
oral presentation
