If you have not had practice with timed essay writing, you should look over some of the materials available for the College Board Advanced Placement Exam. You could use these prompts to practice writing an essay under timed conditions. You will most likely be asked to write a comparison essay where you discuss the meaning of two literary passages.

There are commercial test preparation materials available for purchase. Check with the UTA Bookstore, AMAZON.COM, or a local book retailer for more information.
